After 19 stages of high speed on Polish gravel roads, Andreas and Ola stormed in to 2nd place at the Rally Poland.

It’s been a weekend of very high temperatures and very high speed here at Rally Poland. Andreas said before the rally started that one had to be fast from the start if you wanted to be able to fight for victory. And so he did! They started with setting the fastest time on SS2 with the average speed of 131 kph, which turned out to be the fastest average speed not only for the rally, but also for the season. They continued with close battles with the double worldchampion, Sebastian Ogier, through out the weekend, and after flawless driving in a perfect car they finally drove in to second in the overall classification today.

– This is probably my best race ever, says Andreas. – It’s been flowing so well all weekend, and to be up there and fighting with the double Worldchampion, that is just the best feeling! Going in to the final day bing only 5 seconds behind might not seem to much, but on these high speed stages, it is a lot! And to crown it all with an extra power stage point just adds an extra smile on today!

Sebastien Ogier won Rally Poland, while Ott Tanak took 3rd.
