Andreas and Ola kicked off the 2015 WRC season with securing a 3rd position in Rally Monte Carlo. As usual, the classic season opener proved to be a tough event, but Andreas mastered both the shifting conditions as well as all the difficult tyre choices over the weekend.

With stages run on snow and ice, as well as dry tarmac, there are many difficult tyre choices to be made, and you can easily loose a lot of time on the wrong choice.

– It’s been an amazing weekend! A really tricky one, I have to say, with all the different and quickly changing conditions we have met. And with the different tyres. It’s been such a big learning curve. We played it a bit safe, but we had good tyre choices all the time. It has been a great weekend, we are now taking a lot of points with us for Sweden. It’s great to be on the podium. I aimed for a top 5 coming in to this event, and never thought 3rd would be possible. It’s a fantastic event for the team also, with all three cars on the podium.

Rally Monte Carlo also proved to be a big success for Andreas’ team Volkswagen Motorsport. A huge effort from the whole team, saw all three cars ending up on the podium.
