As one of the best simsport-racers in the world, our esport-coach Tommy Østgaard aims for the World Championship of simracing, The Porsche Esports Supercup.

For the third time, Tommy is qualified to compete in the World Championship of simracing, named The 2020 Porsche Esports Supercup. There are 10 rounds on the calendar, starting with Zandvoort on 2 May. Everyone participating is staying safe, as all races from their homes. In the end, there are big prize money to be won with 200.000$ to be divided by the top 20 in the final classification after the last race in September.
A total of 40 drivers will be competing in the series. 20 of the spots are taken already by the top 20 overall from last years series. The other 20 spots are up for grabs for those who qualifies now. Tommy ended 10th O/A in 2019 after a strong victory at SPA. In 2018, the first year he competed, he ended 12th.
Coanda Simracing has a house in Germany where 6 of their drivers lives and trains. Tommy were supposed to stay and live in the house as part of his training towards the championship, but due to the coronavirus outbreak this trip were not possible. Instead the preparations are full on from his home. Every day he trains for 4-5 hours in the simulator, in addition to mental and fitness training.
All 10 races will be streamed LIVE on iracing.
