The Asia-Pacific Rally Championship is this season’s goal for talented Finnish rally driver Esapekka Lappi. He is currently lying in second place overall after four of six rounds, only a mere half point behind the leader. This season, Esapekka, who drives for Skoda Motorsport, has done a lot of travelling and gained some useful experience.

Unfortunately, he suffered an engine breakdown in the last race in Malaysia. Esapekka also won Rally Agropa in Pacejov in the Czech Republic. In the same country, he also took part in European Rally Championship round, Barum Czech Rally Zlín, where he maintained a fast pace, but skidded off the road, due to gravel on the tarmac in the second round. Unfortunately, the roll bar of his car was damaged in the incident and he was forced to retire from the race.
