Podium and important Simracing Grand Prix points

The first of five rounds took place at Circuit of the Americas April 4, with all our young #NextGeneration drivers ready to battle with Norway’s elite drivers.

Reigning Norwegian Champion Benjamin Fuglesang finished 7th in the Sprint Race. With a reversed grid for the top 8 in the feature race, he started from P2, kept his position and finished P2. Oskar Biksrud were the fastest in the Sprint race and finished P1. Starting from P8 in the feature race, he finished P4, but with too many incidents-points in the race, he dropped down to 25^th.

Karl Peder Nordstrand showed his potential and set the fastest lap time for the race and finished on a strong P8. Dennis Bjerke was on course to finish P8 in the sprint race, which would mean pole for the feature race. Unfortunately he went off track and had to start the feature race from the back. Showing great spirit and not giving up, he climbed 20 places in the main race and finished P16.

Race 2 takes place at Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari at 18 April.
