Strong finish in Poland by Mikkelsen

Rally Poland were his secondo uting in the Citroën C3 WRC. It takes some time to adjust the car and to win with it, but Andreas is pleased with the progression he and the team have made through out a very demanding weekend.

– It’s been a challenging weekend, no doubt. And especially with regards to the weather-conditions. We’ve had it all, from torrential rain to dry roads, and that has really challenged us, he explains after ending the rally in 9th position overall.

Andreas joined Citroën Racing Total Abu Dhabi WRT for the first time at Rally Sardinia. His experience from rallying were important skills that the team wanted to use in their development of the new C3 WRC. Throughout the two events they made good progress.

It’s my feeling that we ended this rally in a very positive wave. Third fastest on the penultimate stage and also on the Power Stage feels good, and it’s a bonus with the extra points. I’m very optimistic about this project, and I’m really looking forward to the next event.

Next up for the Norwegian duo are Rally Germany, also with Citroën.

– I’m really looking forward to testing the car on tarmac, Andreas says, and also to be back with the team in Germany.
