Dennis Olsen – who is driving his first season in a Formula Renault 2.0 – rounded off the final race of the year by securing a third place overall in the NEC Championship. The ambitious 17 year old is the only one of 50 drivers who has won points in all the races.

The last race at Zandvoort proved to be a thriller where points won, the weather conditions and tactics could make a big difference. Prior to the race, Olsen had good chance of being number two overall, but the race was cancelled due to bad weather. This meant that Olsen finished the year in a strong third place, in addition to be crowned rookie of the year.
