Johan Kristoffersson finished Rally Sweden with a hard and successful battle for 6th place in WRC2.
– It was tough but we made it.

Kristoffersson, in only his fourth rally ever, made no mistakes with his Skoda Fabia R5 on the last leg, securing valuable pace distance. – Very important experience for my rallycross career, Kristoffersson concluded.

Fighting with Hyundai driver Jari Huttunen for 6th place, the rallycross world champion and his co-driver Patrik Barth lost sixteen seconds on Likenäs 1. Only three seconds remained of Johan’s advantage, but on the second loop Kristoffersson upped his pace and lost only 0.1 seconds to Huttunen.

– I pushed absolutely maximum of what I was able to. The feeling I got there is something I want to keep. In fact, I want the rally to start now, said Kristoffersson after having secured his 6th place with another good performance on super special stage Torsby.

Kristoffersson lost two more seconds but beat Huttunen overall with a margin of 0.9 seconds.
Tommy Kristoffersson, head of Kristoffersson Motorsport summed up his feelings after the rally.

– We did what we expected, and more than that. The whole team has worked perfectly well. I am especially impressed by Johan and Patrik, driving at such high pace for four days.
